Summary
This position working under the supervision of the maintenance manager or lead technician, the employee performs work involving the use of common tools and other maintenance equipment needed to undertake common tasks involved in routine maintenance projects. This is a seasonal position expected to run until September 2023.
Duties and Responsibilities
Assist’s lead technicians in a wide variety of building maintenance related duties as assigned.
Routine landscaping tasks such as trimming, weeding, sweeping, raking, and mowing.
Minor painting and cleaning tasks.
Loads and unloads supplies both manually and with the use of equipment.
Cleans work areas daily.
Follow all company safety procedures.
Other duties as assigned that are pertinent to the unit’s success.
Position may involve occasional weekend work on an as needed basis and can change short notice to meet client requests.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
§Safety is a priority for employment with NMS. Employee must be able to complete work while following safe operating procedures and maintaining a safe work environment.
§Some type of prior training, work experience, or demonstrable skills which indicate a suitability for this type of work.
Preferred Requirements
§Some prior work experience that involved general labor and landscaping.
Skills and Abilities
Basic knowledge of safe, efficient mechanical operation of motorized equipment.
Knowledge of basic maintenance tools.
Knowledge of methods and materials used in maintenance and improvement work.
Working knowledge of and ability to use hand and power tools and equipment.
Physical strength, stamina and agility.
Ability to follow oral and written directions.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
Weather: Indoors and Outdoors, frequently exposed to outdoor weather conditions.
Noise level: Moderate to Loud.
Description of environment: Environment will vary based on the facility assigned to.
Physical requirements: Employee is required to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. Frequently to constantly required to sit, stand, walk, use hands/fingers to handle or feel, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, talk/hear, see, taste/smell, and carry weight/lift.
