Description
The Patient Tray Line Expeditor position provides support to production and AYR frontline staff and managing the flow of service at the Alaska Native Medical Center (ANMC).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
High level of communication and leadership of cooks and tray line supervisors and tray assemblers on the line.
Able to work cohesively and respectfully with others.
Ability to keep a fast paced organized service line at optimum production.
Ability to understand menu and match ticket food order to ensure completeness as well as meeting requirements of: Portion Control, Recipe and Plating Compliance, IDDSI, Allergy etc.
Be knowledgeable of all menu items and their status for the day
Coordinates food preparation and tray assembly to ensure delivery in 45 minutes or less.
Cleaning duties as assigned.
Ensure proper food safety and sanitation standards to ensure patient safety.
Neat clean personal presentation and compliant to the standards as outlined in the employee dress code.
Demonstrates the ability to follow direction and work independently.
Assist with cleaning and stocking all service areas.
Assists coworkers during staffing shortages.
Complete side duties as required including restaurant set up and take down, trash duty, and miscellaneous cleaning duties and special assignments.
This position has supervisory responsibilities.
Other duties that are pertinent to the department or unit’s success also may be assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
Must have a High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Must have or obtain Municipality of Anchorage Food Handler’s Card or ServSafe Certification contingent upon 30 days of hire.
Must have at least six (6) months of food service experience.
Must have at least six (6 )months customer service experience.
Contract requires employees to speak, understand, read and write English.
Must pass a fingerprinting background investigation that complies with The Crime Control Act, Child Care Worker Act and the Indian Child Protection and Family Violence Prevention Act.
Contract requires employees to speak, understand, read and write English.
Proof of immunization for measles, mumps, rubella (MMR), Varicella (chicken pox), TB, and any other immunizations and screenings designated in the current ANTHC Employee Health Program for Infection Control in Hospital Personnel.
Contract requires candidate to get a flu shot pre-hire and annually thereafter.
Contractor may be required to maintain all employee health records on site.
This contract requires employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (two weeks after the last dose). If you are not fully vaccinated, please acknowledge that, in order to be hired, you must be fully vaccinated or have a client/company approved exemption.

Description of environment: This is an industrial hospital kitchen located in a healthcare setting.
Physical requirements: Employee is required to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, use hands/fingers to handle or feel, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, talk/hear, see, taste/smell, and carry weight/lift.
